5 Examples of Gorgeous Therapy & Coaching Websites to Inspire Your Design

Why I love it:

Minimalistic design - I was first struck by the simplicity of Robyn’s website. A minimalistic design effectively guides the website visitor through the website without hijacking their attention with unnecessary bells and whistles. This is a beautiful example of how you can design a highly effective, professional website without a lot of content.

Intimacy - Robyn accomplishes a sense of spaciousness and intimacy. You feel connected to her right away, while the use of white space (which is soft beige in this case) brings comfort and room to breathe.

Essential Information - We know that writing about your ideal client's pain points and the therapist’s value proposition is a critical element of a private practice website. It would be best if you didn’t have to go searching for this information. Robyn does an excellent job of providing it clearly and concisely, right at the top of her home page.

Keywords! I can also see that Robyn effectively used keywords on her entire website. The best part is that you might not even notice this because the copy still flows naturally.

Why I love it:

Navigation - The Flowing Tree Yoga website has straightforward site navigation. This helps your visitors quickly find what they are looking for. It also helps search engines in indexing your website pages easily.

Concise copy - Flowing Tree Yoga reflected their business name in the copy - it has flow. It is clear, concise, and has no unnecessary content. Moving through the website is effortless.

Design - The design is modern, and the colors are soothing - just what I would expect from a healing environment like Flowing Tree Yoga.

Connection - the high-quality photos of the studio give you a sense of the studio’s vibe. It feels like you’re already there. Not only does this create a sense of transparency and safety, but it will also address any hesitation a potential visitor might have about joining Flowing Tree Yoga.

Compelling quotes and headlines - I love the strategic use of quotes and headlines. Two of my favorites: “I choose to move confidently in my own life journey” and “discover your innate wholeness.” These will help Flowing Tree Yoga attract the ‘right’ audience to their studio.

Why I love it:

The art! The art and the logo are modern and beautiful! I’ve tried designing artistic sites like this for art therapists, and it’s not easy. Adding customized graphic art can make your site stand out, but it can also get cluttered with too many design elements. This website has an outstanding balance. The colors are beautiful and bold, yet there’s enough white (blank) space to keep it uncrowded.

Fonts - Laura chose fonts that are fun and casual but not unprofessional. They speak to her artistic side. She did a great job of picking unexpected fonts that are still clean, minimalist, and easy to read.

Scrolling effects - I love the added visual element of the scrolling effects.

Valley Oak Counseling

Why I love it:

Well, I designed this one, so I’m going to toot my horn here…

Design - This website is poised and polished. The color palette is soft, but the bold stock photos and strong fonts give the design confidence. I love how Julie’s clothing in her portrait photos coordinates perfectly with the color scheme. Everything feels cohesive.

Copy - The content is clear and concise. It holds my attention through EVERY page. This is because the copy emphasizes the benefits of therapy over the therapy approach and the therapist’s accomplishments. The copy answers all the visitor’s questions, and information is easily accessible.

Branding - Julie’s branding image, the oak tree, is consistent throughout and even used in a metaphor on the home page. This gives the website a personal touch.

Why I love it:

Design: The design is simple, clean, and modern. With a name like “Modern Family Therapy,” it’s imperative that these folks keep their website looking fresh. I like the use of black and white banner images beneath the colored headlines and logo. It’s a unique design feature and helps to make the text stand out.

Copy: Modern Family Therapy covered all the essential elements of really good website copy. First, it’s SEO-friendly. I can see that they’ve used relevant keywords on every page. Second, the copy is simple, grammatically correct, clear, and concise. Website visitors will be able to get the information they need quickly. Third, it emphasizes benefits over features. Visitors will understand not just what is offered but the value of those offerings.

Connection: Shelley and Natalie, the two therapists at Modern Family Therapy, did an excellent job connecting to their readers throughout the site, especially on their About/Bio pages. They allowed their voice to come through the use of personal stories and humor. While the information is about them, it is really about their ideal clients.
